A bilateral meeting between business leaders of Bangladesh and Kuwait was held on 16 September at the KCCI Building in Kuwait City, hosted by the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).

The meeting was attended by Md. Abdur Rahim Khan, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce of Bangladesh; Mohammad Hatem, President of BKMEA; Dr. Rashid Ahmed Hossaini, Director of BGMEA; along with leaders from the pharmaceuticals and agro-industries sectors.

For the first time, a strong business delegation from Bangladesh, led by Additional Secretary Abdur Rahim Khan, is visiting Kuwait, and this meeting was part of the official visit.

The meeting was described as a new beginning in trade relations between Kuwait and Bangladesh, with emphasis placed on increasing exports of Bangladesh’s readymade garments and other sectors to Kuwait and Middle Eastern countries.
